If you’re an out-of-town businessman on a hefty expense account, Ten’s is definitely the recommended place for a little tasteful T&A. Gorgeous blondes, brunettes, and redheads in various stages of undress are tending bar, hostessing, selling cigars, and of course taking off their tops—tastefully, mind you—to a variety of classic rock and disco tunes. The décor can be described as male-fantasy modern—black tablecloths, splashes of neon, chrome, and bright lights.
For $20, plus tip, any of these gorgeous gals will be more than happy to invade your personal space and offer you an intimate show, which includes sitting on your lap while removing their top. These women are so beautiful and so good at their craft that you shouldn’t be surprised at how light your wallet will feel by the time you head out the door. And if continually pulling your wallet out of your pocket has left you with a sore neck, consider getting a back rub. For $20, you can have an attractive masseuse give you some relaxing bodywork, complete with scented oils.
In contrast to the performers, the beer selection leaves much to be desired and is pricey at $8 a bottle, but if you still feel like a good, reasonably priced beer after an evening of beautiful breasts, just take a short walk to the Old Town Bar (45 E. 18th St. @ Broadway & Park Ave. South; 212.529.6732) or Pete’s Tavern (129 E. 18th St. @ Irving Pl.; 212.473.7676). Ten’s also has a long-standing reputation for excellent food—we didn’t indulge but the dishes we glimpsed looked exquisite.
Although you may have spent a small fortune by the end of the night, take some comfort in knowing that your receipt will merely read “Ten’s Restaurant.” Such an innocuous label is unlikely to raise the eyebrows of the expense-account police at your firm, or arouse the suspicions of wives or girlfriends.
