Just north of the Financial District and west of City Hall, the suits—brokers, lawyers, judges, and politicians—congregate and relax at this venerable strip club, which has occupied the same location for almost 20 years. Friendly peelers of all flavors (blondes, redheads, brunettes, Asian, African-American, and Hispanic) don evening gowns and heels to entice the drinkers who lounge at the bar near the club’s entrance, generally watching sports and talking shop. Those who wander toward the back of the establishment can feast their eyes on athletes of a different sort.
In the mirrored back room, the leggy and toned dancers strip down to barely-there thongs on the two miniscule corner stages. Table dances are available for patrons who want more personal attention. Illuminated by neon lighting, the performers bump and grind to dance music and do their best to keep the attention of the audience. Big spenders can venture into one of the champagne rooms with the dancer of their choice.
The booze is fairly priced ($8 and up) and the management prides itself on the low-key, no-pressure environment. Patrons are encouraged to relax and have a good time, which is a welcome departure from the way many other Manhattan strip clubs operate.
