Temple Bar is an upscale lounge with a seductive vibe. Dark lighting and cozy seating create a romantic setting whether you're on your first date or your fourteenth. In fact, Temple Bar is ideal for a first date meeting because you can grab a martini at the bar in the front and then go to dinner at nearby Les Jardin Bistro or Balthazar. All three - Temple Bar, Les Jardin Bistro and Balthazar - are NYC favorites because, if you have a date, at the very least you'll know that the bar and restaurant you choose will be romantic. The rest is up to you.
On weekends and after work, Temple Bar does get a little crowded but, during the week, the lounge area is quiet and conducive for a little sex play. On a recent visit, my date and I ordered some apres-dinner scotch from their extensive menu. Perhaps emboldened by the scotch, my date kissed me for the first time and then continued to kiss me. Although there were a number of people seated at nearby tables, no one seemed to notice (or care) that he'd occasionally cup my breast.
