- Entwine is a cross between a blue-blood country club and a charming country inn. Given that the weather is quite cold as I write this review, my thoughts are now more winter-centric. Entwine is definitely the place to go with a date to get the chill out of your bones in a dark, homey interior offering comfortable couches and a fantastic selection of cocktails and wines. Entwine puts an innovative twist on the classic cocktails with my favorites - Scotland Yard (Dewars, Drambuie, Fresh Basil, Fresh Ginger, and Lemon Juice) and Camilla Martini (Bulleit Bourbon, St Germain, Pomegranate Purée, and Fresh Mint). Be prepared to stay for hours at this bi-level lounge, especially at the downstair's lounge with its couches and more intimate setting. Food is also available as small plates of Mediterranean fare. I expect that even in hot weather, Entwine is a great place to go to get intimate with your date, although you should probably take the real sex play back to your apartment. Our friends at One Leg Up would agree that Entwine is a great place to wet your erotic desires because they hosted a Take-out Soiree there. Despite the crowds at the Take-out party, Entwine still seemed very intimate and cozy, enough so that my date and I made out that night, and find ourselves in a mini make-out session every time we spend a few hours at Entwine. Because of it's comfortable interior, great food, excellent drinks and wines, it's impossible not to feel the tug of sensuality at Entwine. Also, if you find ourselves in the meatpacking area, make Entwine one of your must-stops either after shopping or on your bar crawl, but you might want to make it your last stop because you'll be too comfortable to keep going.
