Plain and simple - this is a cool, lesbian bar, with hot chicks and an inexpensive cocktail menu. Cubbyhole is set apart from other bars that cater to lesbians only. Don't get me wrong, I like fucking women, so I want to go where I can meet other lesbians; but, the truth is that I have bi-curious female friends, so Cubbyhole offers all of us - from the lesbian to the curious (men too!)- a place to go, have fun, and flirt with women who like to flirt back. The interior of Cubbyhole is a bit kitschy, with mobiles hanging from the ceiling. The electronic jukebox has the best range of music you'll ever find in a bar. My friend, Alice (bi-curious) went with her husband, and both of them had a great time meeting people. The staff is super friendly, and Tuesdays' margaritas are just want you need to get you through the rest of the week. Weekends can get crowded, but all the better to be so close to all the hot women. Cubbyhole is one of the best lesbian bars in NYC, but it's also a great place to go with all your friends - gay and straight.
