- My boyfriend and I both have roommates which is not ideal for letting loose when having sex at our respective apartments. Going to a hotel for sex once had a sleazy connotation, but this is 2009, and the hotel is the Soho Grand - nothing sleazy about that. The hotel is very chic and trendy with a futuristic lobby lit from below. The entrance leads to a staircase that goes to the main floor featuring the Grand Bar and Lounge. My boyfriend and I started with a few cocktails in the Lounge to set the mood for going upstairs to our room. The Lounge offers cushy couches, dim lighting, and expensive cocktails. My boyfriend wanted to create a romantic date; luckily he could afford the bar tab and room (with tax) at over $500. He had the room key ready before I got there, so now feeling drunk and horny, we headed upstairs. I personally love the Soho Grand and have had many ocassions - from birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, work meetings, and after-work cocktails - to come to the Grand Bar & Lounge; however, I didn't expect that the rooms would be so tiny. Granted, my boyfriend is a tall and husky Midwesterner, but we barely had enough room for both of us to negotiate around each other. This is not the place to come for a sex party involving more than 2 people. The hotel does have larger rooms, but the room rates increase, accordingly. My boyfriend and I certainly enjoyed the privacy of the room and fucked all night long. The poshness of the Soho Grand made our fuck-fest feel more special. In the morning, we showered with expensive bath products and went to Felix for Sunday brunch. It was the perfect weekend as long as you have at least $500 to burn.
