The DDeviousDelights PlayGroup is an invitation-only group of couples and single women who get together once a week at various locations around NYC to explore and expand the boundaries of their individual and collective sexualities. Drama and pressure-free, it's a wonderful sex party for those interested in finding their way in the world of responsible non-monogamy. Voyeurs and exhibitionists also attend.
The DDeviousDelights PlayGroup is now in its 8th year and has become a fixture in the NYC sex party scene. Their membership includes several thousand couples and hundreds of single females. The PlayGroup has regular and visiting guests each week, but each gathering is limited to a maximum of 30 people. In order to attend a PlayGroup, you have to register online and receive an invitation. The invitation will disclose the location of that week's event.
This past week's PlayGroup was in a beautiful 3-bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side (members host PlayGroups in their apartments). The parties always start at 7:30-8pm, depending on the availability of the host location, with a hard deadline for arrival at 9:00pm. Guests arrive, have a glass or two of wine to relax and await the call to debauchery. Since the intent of the group is to start together, the facilitator generally waits for all the guests to arrive. By 9:15pm, the sexy male facilitator asks the guests to gather in the living room. While he sits in the center of the room, guests find spots around the living room and eagerly wait for the festivities to begin. After a brief introduction of the rules and some housekeeping niceties, like where to toss the used condoms, we go around the room, still fully clothed, and introduce ourselves by first name. First-timers sometimes appear visibly nervous, unsure whether this is really a secret 12-step meeting or something similarly serious.
After the rules and introductions, the facilitator will ask us to put down our drinks down (in a secure place), stand up, move around the room and find someone we did not come with and preferably do not know, and take off a piece of their clothing. Some gatherings start slowly, some more rapidly, but within a few minutes, piles of clothing begin to gather around the room. This is not a "take em off and fold em' kinda deal." It's just "pull it off and toss it in that person's pile" kind of party. Some move faster than others, some defer their eventual surrender. The facilitator has been known to walk around the room and snap bras and lower thongs; soon, everyone in the room is naked or close to it.
After a few minutes, the living room is full of boobs, butts and cocks; guests from all walks of life admire eachother's bodies, wondering who they want to touch first. There is a wonderful civility to this process, and it never ceases to amaze me that once people are naked, regardless of how nervous they were walking in the front door, they always figure out what they need to be doing at that very moment. For the next two hours, we lick, suck and fuck. My boyfriend and I abide by the motto of DDeviousDelights, "In a romantic and creative partnership, fidelity is not essential but loyalty is paramount." The PlayGroup is a weekly event where everyone shares this motto.
