• Chemistry touts sophistication and class, but it reminded me more of a high school party gone wild, than a sexy, sensual, salivating experience. If you’ve never been to a sex party and are curious, it’s a good place to get started. They offer whole body massages, tarot card readings, a tantalizing burlesque show, and a warm up session hosted by a curvaceous sexpert to get eager bodies and curious minds moving. But to the more experienced polyamorous men and women out there, it might seem a bit too juvenile to keep you coming back. The music was a bit too punk to dance to, the finger foods not worth licking your fingers, and the dress code was more suited for your mother’s cocktail party than a sex-capade. As the night passed, there was definitely a lot of hot steamy sex going on in the playroom, but voyeurs beware - no watching allowed. A sign outside the playroom listed several rules, including “no gawking”, which might make you feel awkward as you pass by and happen to glance towards the beautiful bodies getting it on. As early morning arrived, disheveled faces and drunken bodies filed into the bathrooms to clean up (a few partygoers vomited on the dance floor, which was totally gross!). With the emphasis on fucking and not on all the other lascivious activities to be had, it left me still searching for the of kind of party that brings experienced, playful, and sophisticated lovers together under one roof for some titillating and erotic frolic.

PartyCouple The above reviewer must have been to a different event and thought they were at Chemistry - they are wrong on just about all counts. Me and my bf have been several times, and this event blows away all others in the city imho. The crowd is a mix of professionals and artists, and is incredibly HOT. They have always had amazing DJs when we've been, usually good soulful house music, not the usual hip-hop crap we hear at most of the parties (and I've never heard anything resembling punk there!). Plus the food there is catered and gourmet, no trays of heavy ziti like we've seen at more "swinger" clubs. I guess it must be Chemistry they are talking about though because they do have a 'no gawking' sign, but we thought this was a welcome addition. It was perfectly acceptable for couples to travel back into the play areas to get a look at the action, but the sign and the hosts made sure that there was no creepy energy back there, you won't have to worry about some lone dude watching you and jacking off. I never saw anyone puke but that could well be true as this crowd likes to party hard -- this event is more like a dance party than any other sex party out there. We have never been disappointed in one of their events, which is more than I can say about any other place or party we've tried.
