I’m a big fan of Mario Batali. I’m a huge fan of Babbo Ristorante. I’m a bigger fan of Babbo’s couch seats where my boyfriend and I sat side by side last night. Not only did we have one of the best dinners I’ve had in New York, but my boyfriend had his hand up my skirt the entire time. Was it the truly delectable Garganelli pasta with “Funghi Trifolati” or my boyfriend’s fingers inside me that made me smile the entire night? I can’t be sure. As much as I love my boyfriend and how he touches me, the pasta tasting menu was just as good, if not better, than my tableside orgasm. No worries…no one could see because the tablecloth provided great camouflage. With the celebrity journalist sitting at the next table, I made sure that my moanings could be associated with the pasta.
There can be no doubt that Babbo is one of the finest Italian restaurants in New York. The menu is somewhat pricey, but the taste and not so small portions are worth the prices. My boyfriend and I ordered the eight course pasta tasting menu at, ironically, $69 per person (if one person orders the tasting menu, the other has too, as well – Mario’s rule), which can be paired with a wonderful assortment of wines selected for you. A tasting menu might sometimes leave you hungry, but, by the third pasta course, we wondered how we could eat any more. The “under the table” touching certainly helped to distract us from the food, but we still managed to find room for all five pasta dishes on the tasting menu, the delicious cheese in the Dancing Ewe Caciotta Fritters with Honey and Thyme, and the insanely delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake with Golden Raisins, Crème Fraiche and Saba that was graciously offered to us in addition to our last dessert course. My orgasm was complete by the time the Pumpkin Cheesecake was delivered to our table. It was just the right après-sex cuddle I needed. So, if you’re reading this review, do not hesitate to go to Babbo, and, if you want some “under the table” erotic fun, make sure to ask for the couch seats along the wall by the staircase. Do be discreet though. We love Babbo.
