Like an Armani suit, the Armani Ristorante is elegant, chic, and sexy. It is located on the third floor of the Armani store, so you can shop, then dine or have drinks upstairs. Even if your trip doesn't include any shopping, Armani Ristorante is worth trying, especially for a date. The restaurant has dark lighting with shimmering lights along the walls and windows. The leather chairs and couches are black with white trim. The look is minimalistic but inviting at the same time. I had drinks by the bar area and sat on the couch for over three hours, just talking with friends. Occasionally, the music gets too loud, but, within a few minutes, the music is lowered again. The staff seems to be in tune with the guests. Be forewarned though - happy hours and private events are held at the bar and waiters cannot serve food in that area, so guests are required to move to the dining room. Both areas are adjacent to one another, so this policy doesn't seem to make sense. Also, waiters can get a little bitchy, as one friend described, if you ask them about this policy. On that particular night, the waiters may have been overwhelmed by the crowd and short-staffed. It's still no excuse for their rudeness to the clientele, but don't let this stop you from going to Armani Ristorante, because service in the restaurant area is outstanding. On Thursday nights, the chef will send appetizers to guests at the bar. The food is delicious. One of my favorite entrees is the Tagliolini Con Pesto Di Rucola E Gamberi Tagliolini (pasta served with rucola pesto and shrimp). The menu is pricey, but no more than any other restaurant in the area. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't more expensive. Cocktails and wine are about $14 per glass. I paid a little over $100 for dinner with drinks and a dessert. My date and I had a great time. Armani Ristorante means elegance. It is upscale dining but with a relaxed, sensual vibe which you can then take elsewhere for more erotic fun.
