- On a cold winter day in Dumbo, my friends and I headed to Jacques Torres for a comforting chocolate croissant and a cup of "Wicked" hot chocolate. With several locations around NYC, Jacques Torres is well-known for its high-end chocolate creations. The locations are ideal for a casual date, especially for chocolate-lovers. The settings are small and cozy. Unfortunately, on my last few visits, the croissants were stall and tasteless. Despite having no trouble ever finishing dessert, I took only a few bites from the croissants. Don't go to Jacques Torres if you want a croissant, but do go to Jacques Torres to have their itty bitty pieces of sinfully delicious chocolates. The "Wicked" hot chocolate is the best in town. Described another way, the chocolate creations are little pieces of edible sex.
