- Eurocircles is one of the best ways to meet people in NYC. What's really great about EuroCircle is that, unlike French Tuesdays (read our review in our Dating section), membership is free and open to anyone who takes a few minutes to sign up online. Also, EuroCircle events are held at hip venues around town, so you can meet people and learn about new, fun places in NYC at the same time. EuroCircle describes itself as "an informal community for European professionals & Europhiles- married or single". I would say this is true, but the members are not limited to Europeans; in fact, each event draws a truly diverse and international crowd from Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, and, of course, the U.S. All guests are professionals, mostly in their 30s and 40s (and some times older), so EuroCircle events are a great place to network - socially and professionally - and have interesting and intelligent conversations with guests who know the world, have interesting jobs, and can flirt at the same time. When you become a member, you will be notified by email about upcoming events, so you can sign up. Some events close fast, so make sure to sign up early. Another great feature of membership is that you can sign up multiple guests, so you can party with friends or go alone and meet new people. The vibe is always relaxed and fun. The organizers are very nice, too. Events are not limited to cocktail parties, but include day-time gatherings, like a tour of art galleries in the West 20s.
