- In all seasons, the singles' scene at B Bar and Grill is always hot. B Bar is the place to go if you're a twenty-something looking to to flirt or hook-up for the night. The space offers several bars and rooms, so you have ample opportunities to meet people. The main room has a long bar and seating along the walls and dining room if you want to start your evening with dinner. Adjacent to the main room are two smaller rooms where inhibitions seem to decrease in direct correlation to the dimmer lighting. There's another bar here too. B Bar's best feature, however, is its large outdoor space with a dining room and yet another bar. As soon as the sun sets, and even before, the party starts, and you will find a young, well-dressed crowd mingling over drinks. As with other popular bars in NYC, B Bar gets very crowded, especially on weekend nights. If you are a twenty-something, it's almost a rite of passage for you to wait on long lines to get into bars and clubs in NYC. At B Bar, there is always a line at the door and a bouncer checking identification, so be prepared to wait (go before 8 pm to avoid the line) and don't forget to bring your ID. Despite the line to get in, B Bar is, at least, devoid of a velvet rope attitude. Unless you're riotously drunk and/or underaged, you will get in. Dress for a night out, though. The crowd is always attractive; the latest fashions appear on both sexes. Some guys still wear their "frat uniforms" - baggy jeans and oxford shirt or t-shirts, but, for the most part, the men are dressed to impress too. The vibe is fun and flirty, with patrons grinding to loud music. You're likely to meet someone or several people at B Bar; they may or may not be your everlasting love, but, you're young, you're in NYC, and, for that moment, all is good in the world.
